Intro

MMCA Hyundai Motor Series 2021: MOON Kyungwon & JEON Joonho – NEWS FROM NOWHERE: FREEDOM VILLAGE was a multidisciplinary exhibition commissioned by MMCA Korea and Hyundai Motor Company.
Set in Daeseong-dong, the only village within the DMZ, the project reflected on the historical tension and ideological isolation of the Korean peninsula.
Through video, installation, photography, and a mobile platform, the exhibition reimagined the village as a symbolic space of both absence and presence, mirroring the ongoing dynamics of modern society.
We planned and produced the promotional and archive videos for this exhibition.
